Theme- Calcutta and Literature

The idea was to show relation of Calcutta people with literature. Durga Puja is a big festival in Kolkata and West bengal. It is a time when people from near and far come at a place to meet their family and friends and celebrate. It is in a way festival of relations. 

The dhak(drum) is an inevitable part of the festival. With beating of Dhak the festival commences and it continues to complement the various rituals during Puja. Even after immersion, it's the beats of dhak that instill the spirit of Durga Puja festivity for next year. The drum beats remind Bengalis of their favourite festival. 

The time around Durga Puja is a very important time for people related to literary field. For ages it is the time renowned novelists, poets, literary persons, publish their new literary creations. New and upcoming literary persons also look forward to present their works in front of readers during this time. Readers wait eagerly to read new literature during this time of the year.
