Horo Parvati parivar

 

The inspiration for this illustration came from Tenpa Putul- a folk clay doll from Bengal. 

In Bengali traditions, Goddess Durga is thought of as the daughter of the family and Lord Shiva as her Husband. Goddess Lakshmi, Saraswati, Lord Ganesha & Kartikeya are considered to be Durga's children.  So here I have depicted them as a happy family with a father, a mother, and their children.
