Raaschakra, Bishnupur

Inspired from #Terracotta work of Raaschakra on the walls of Shyamrai temple, Bishnupur. Various scenes from Krishnalila(short tales from Lord Krishna’s life), are depicted on the walls of almost all the temples. The most important yet common composition is the rasachakra—a medallion-like shape with multiple emanations showing Krishna dancing with Radha in the middle, with gopinis dancing in a circular formation surrounding them.
