Women who weld weapons are typically depicted as goddesses or brave queens. Rarely do you see regular women holding weapons. Most often, they are portrayed as caregivers or enchantresses. In this series, ordinary women holding a sword and a shield are looking at the viewer. She is standing at the entrance of her home. This series is a tribute to all the women who spoke out against injustice, whether it occurred at home or elsewhere. This also is a tribute to all the women who are yet to speak up for themselves.
